Le Havre 2008-09 Home Airness football shirt

Le Havre (HAC) unveiled their home football shirt made by their new kit manufacturer Airness for the 2008-2009 season.

Le Havre is known as 'les ciel et marine' in France, which translates as 'the sky and navy blues'. These colours were chosen by the club's English founders as they were those of their alma maters, the universities of Oxford and Cambridge.

Founded in 1872 makes it the oldest football and rugby club registered in France. Football began being played on a regular basis in 1894, so technically FC Mulhouse could be considered the first French football team being established in 1893 (however, they were a German team at the time).

Why are these smaller companies always trying to create a space shirt, instead of nice and simple football shirt?! Don`t like it at all...

Well, in an era of plain simple templates, at least it is a more flashy one. Can´t tell whether or not it´s that bad or not. I remember adidas had some nice kits for them (the colours really help the team). One thing to remember too. They are yet to put the sponsors (which in France are usually big and numerous)...

As danwho has pointed out they may have failed with Fulham, but in France they haven\'t done a bad job, I
remember tapping away wonering what became of them, well at least we know now, they are alive, they are kicking and their designs are ok.Who care about deliveries, Le Havre are not going to be Marseille, Lyon or even PSG. Remember Anthony Tallac & Sinemone Pongolle they came from Le Havre....where are they now?
Nice design by Airness-though I cannot see Umbro adopting it for Blackburn or Kappa for Feyanoord.

Shame that airness didn\'t win the FFF contract - I\'d have liked to see what
    they came
    up with for Les Bleus

You and i won\'t be friends with such wishes...

    The choice of Airness
for the future France kit would have been a catastrophe.

    Bad quality, poor
design, problems for the deliveries (they\'re always late)...That\'s Airness in a
    nutshell.
I was only meaning from a design perspective. The other factors you pointed out, I\'m unaware of due to being in Australia. If they are true then yes, better not be the national supplier. However they are only a new company and have done well so far (no I don\'t work for them! ;-) ) Thanks for pointing their flaws out, however. :-)

I like the fact that airness are trying something new with their kits. OK, some ideas are just naff (the long sleeve holes on Fulham\'s shirts) but at least they\'re putting some creativity into their designs unlike the BIG boys.

Am I the only one who actually likes this shirt? All right, the back is plain ugly, but the color combination is great, and at least the design is not something you see every day. 4/5

I think its not bad, I like things that are opposite like that, but i would rather see it on someone rather than getting pulled at to get a better view of it....
