This is the new Netherlands Away football shirt and kit, by Nike, to be worn in the upcoming Brasil 2014 Word Cup finals this summer.
The new shirt has a gradient effect, with royal blue - representing the Dutch royal family - blending into navy and then, finally, purple as the eye moves downwards, all staggered in an geometric grid pattern which recalls the classic watermark of the Euro 88 Home equivalent - worn when the Dutch became European Champions in unforgettable style. Officially, this pattern represents the prominence of water in Dutch life, and intricate passing.

Like the Home version, this Away kit also commemmorates the 125th anniversary of the KNVB (Royal Dutch Football Association), and this is celebrated with a special retro crest, rendered in orange here, with the founding year of 1889, and 2014, below.
Like many recent Nike shirts, the cuffs are "poppable" to reveal a vibrand orange underneath.
The Dutch artist Wim Crouwel, like with the Home kit, has provided the name and number font style for the players.
The shorts - slimmer cut than previous Nike versions - continue on from the gradient effect, in imperial purple, and match the socks - with the orange details the only minimal embellishment.
Nike Dri-FIT technology, mesh panels and laser-cut ventilation holes are all utilised in the kit to keep the players dry and cool, and the kit is made largely from recycled polyester from plastic bottles.
