Peterborough United  announced that the fixture with Cardiff City on Monday 28th December (3pm) has been designated as a day to raise awareness of three charities for the 2009-2010 campaign, the Free Kicks Foundation, Sue Ryder Care and ASBAH.

Chairman Darragh MacAnthony has recognised the superb work that the charities undertake throughout the year and as such has kindly allowed for the sponsorship of the kit to be replaced for one game only by their three nominated charities.

Peterborough have worked closely with kit manufacturer adidas who have kindly donated a full kit, with help from Chroma Sports, for the fixture with Cardiff City. Chairman Darragh MacAnthony said:

'I believe this is the first time in our history that we have used a one-off kit for a league fixture and I was delighted to allow our three charities to have their logo's on the strip.

Portuguesa unveiled the new 2010 third football shirt made by Penalty. Associação Portuguesa de Desportos is a Brazilian football Club from São, founded on August 14, 1920 by the Portuguese population of the city.

On the chest the shirt shows the Cross of Avis. The Cross of Avis represents the Portuguese independence from the Castile Kingdom, which happened after the Battle of Aljubarrota, on August 14, 1385.

On the evening of Monday, December 14, Esporte Clube Juventude presented their new third football Kit made by Penalty, which will be used by the professional team during the 2010 season.

The shirt design is predominantly green with light green stripes the stripes and is based on the official shirt of 1999 in which the club won the Copa do Brasil.

Penalty developed four models of shirts in three colors: green, black and lime green. These shirts came to a vote on the club's website and with 2975 votes (63.11%) the green shirt was chosen by the fans to be the 3rd uniform of the club.

Lotto produced a Padova Centenary 2009 Home football shirt to celebrate the first century of Calcio Padova. The shirt is made from a special technical fabric made from wool mixed with synthetic fiber in order to recreate the effect of vintage football shirts from the 1930s.

The club was founded in 1910. Padova has just been promoted from Lega Pro Prima Divisione (formerly known as Serie C1) to Serie B, having last been in Serie A in 1996.

Nike unveiled the new Kaizer Chiefs 40th anniversary special edition team football kit that draws inspiration from the glorious past of the black and gold club and will be available here.

The special edition kit will be worn by the team at their next home game against Bloemfontein Celtic at Loftus Stadium, in Pretoria on Saturday.

Chiefs will continue to wear the kit during all home games in the 2009/2010 season.

The jersey recalls that worn by the Amakhosi 40 years ago, in that it is predominantly black and featuring the iconic Chiefs gold on the rib collar, sleeves and cuffs.

This is the Swindon Town 09/10 Third football shirt made by Adidas. Swindon Town used their new all-blue third kit in the FA Cup Second Round tie at Wrexham.

The Dragons' home and away colours clashed with Swindon's - forcing the need for a new strip in time for this game.

100 Town shirts were made available and but were sold out by the close of play.

Robert-Enke-shirt.jpgThe Hannover 96 players will be allowed to keep the 'No1' tribute to Robert Enke on their shirts for the remainder of the Bundesliga season, the German Football Association (DFB) has confirmed.

"We would like to thank the DFB board for handing our request in such a sensitive and non-bureaucratic manner," said 96 sporting director Jörg Schmadke.

The team are said to be pleased at the decision and also wish to express their gratitude to those responsible at the DFB.

In memory of Robert Enke

The Hannover 96 players sported the subtle tribute to their deceased friend and colleague Robert Enke against Schalke 04 last weekend.

The idea came from Steven Cherundolo and was met by a positive reaction from the rest of the squad.

The DFB has approved this already.

The German national team will pay its final respects to Enke with a minute's silence before Wednesday's game.

Pictures of Enke's life and career will be shown on the big screens at the Arena AufSchalke and the players will wear black armbands.

"One of Robert's shirts will be on the bench," added Low. "Robert Enke was not only an extraordinarily good goalkeeper, but also an extraordinary person."

Cruzeiro unveiled their 09/10 third kit made by Reebok. Argentinian star, Juan Pablo Sorin announced he will officially retire from football and thus Cruzeiro prepared a special match to honor him.

Cruzeiro will play Argentinos Jrs, Sorin's first team and for that occasion, besides having many concerts of famous local bands, the new third kit honours the argentine and the team's roots, bearing a Sorin patch on the left arm and the club's original badge on the right side of the kit.
