AFC Bournemouth sign Focal Point Sponsor Deal

Bournemouth Focal PointAFC Bournemouth is delighted to welcome back Focal Point Fires, the UK's largest manufacturer of fuel effect fires, as the club's Official Shirt Sponsor from Season 2011/12.

The three-year shirt sponsorship  will see the Focal Point brand feature on the AFC Bournemouth First Team, Reserve Team and Under 18 Youth Team shirts in all League, Cup and Friendly matches.

Focal Point Fires was founded in 1983 and offers an extensive product range, which includes flueless catalytic gas fires, traditional inset gas and electric fires and electric stoves.

AFC Bournemouth's Chairman Eddie Mitchell said, "We are delighted that Focal Point Fires are back on board with the club as a top level partner and our Official Shirt Sponsor. Focal Point is a well respected locally based company with an international profile and they are true supporters of AFC Bournemouth. It is a fantastic deal for the club and we are pleased to have their commitment for a minimum of three years."

Cherries Manager Eddie Howe agreed that it is a superb deal for all parties, saying, "This is a great deal all round. We all know how important shirt sponsorship is and we are delighted that it is with a local company who are also great supporters of the club. With the coverage we get and our supporters wearing the shirt with pride, it will also be great exposure for Focal Point Fires."

Rob Mitchell, AFC Bournemouth's Commercial Director commented, "We contacted Focal Point as soon as we knew the current shirt sponsorship deal with Carbrini would finish at the end of this season. Focal Point is the perfect brand to have on the front of our shirts as they share a common goal in achieving results on and off the pitch, developing talent and a strong team spirit."

Owner of Focal Point Fires Ivor Mitchell said, "We at Focal Point are excited about being back on the front of AFC Bournemouth's shirts from next season.     Not really the point of seeing them get a sponsor, but the fact that AFC Bournemouth are getting back on their feet full stop is good to see.

    what's that meant to mean?.. we've had carbrini as a sponsor for the last 3 seasons and before that focal point for another 3 seasons? so we've always had a sponsor.

    But what they don't say is, Focal Point terminated the sponsorship when afcb got relegated, saying they don't do buisness with 'failures' and as soon as afcb are doing well along they trot.
