Adidas 1989 France Match Worn Away Shirt

France 1989 player shirt by Adidas believed to have been match worn by Sauzée in a friendly match against Ireland played at Dalymount Park, Dublin on the 7th February 1989.

The two sides played out a hard fought 0-0 draw in terrible conditions in the Irish capital on a wet winter night.

Sauzée was making his 5th start for Les Bleus who were in the middle of their qualifying campaign for the 1990 World Cup under new boss and hero Michel Platini. This superb Adidas design was worn between 1986-90 and the away version was never available to buy as a replica. Sauzée went on to win three Division 1 titles as part of the great Marseille side of the late 80's and early 90's and represented the FFF until 1993 when he retired following 39 appearances and an impressive 9 goals.
