Ajax 1990-91 player shirt by Umbro believed to have been issued to or match worn by Jonk in the 90-91 season.
Jonk was snapped up from Volendam in '88 and provided quality back-up in his first three years before holding down a first team spot from '91 onwards.
The midfielder made 19 appearances in all competitions in this campaign but Ajax had to settle for runners-up in the Eredivisie this time around after a shock defeat at Schiedam VV in the penulimate round of fixtures. This caused the dawn of a new era though with Louis van Gaal taking over for 91-92 and Jonk given more playing time. Jonk's great form saw him go to Euro '92 and then be poached by Serie A giants Inter Milan.
