Barcelona 2008/09 Home Nike football shirt

This is the new Barcelona Home football shirt for the 2008/2009 season made by Nike.

FC Barcelona have rediscovered the mythical half-and-half design of the club's centenary for the new home shirt that has been introduced for the 2008/09 the 2008/09 campaign, while the away shirt is yellow.

The new kits were presented on Wednesday on the pitch at Camp Nou at midday with Nike and Barça have chosen to make a complete change for the home shirts with the stripes being done away with and two halves of blau and grana being introduced as a nod to the club's centenary shirt of ten seasons ago.

Next season's shirts will incorporate the senyera once again with the club motto 'mès que un club' on the rear of the collar above the labels. There are other major details, however, with the Barça hymn being printed out on the inside of the shirt. The word Barça is also imprinted throughout the shirt.

no way! that\'s amazing! It\'s better that it doesnt have contrasting sleeves because this design is very rare. Plus, it\'s obvious that Barca likes to try different styles every year, therefore it was about time they picked one of these.

I prefer the stripes. I was okay with the halves until I saw that they didn\'t do contrasting sleeves. It would have been simple but elegant with those, but without...just dull. But, as a Barca supporter, I suppose it\'s more about the players than the shirt they wear. And at least the away kit is decent.

In Barcelona we are very disapointed, because this new design doesn\'t like to anybody.

I think too is like FC Basel.

Sub-par at best. Though I\'ve never cared for their kits I prefer the stripes over the halves. Kind of disappointing.

Halves isn\'t that different from what they have had in the past but not having contrasting sleeves is a big change for Barca.

I agree, it is okay, I like the use of the colours(red,blue and gold) but \\i am not sure if that is just clever photography.There is no trimmings at all aside the Unicef and Nike swoosh which does make it dull to be honest.
And yes having halves to celebrate 100 years is 1 thing, but doing it every so often gets a bit on the monotenous side especially as Nike/Barca haven\'t exactlly used vast swathes of imagination.

the shirt is just ok. im sure barca fans have to be upset though because they had a shirt exactly like this a couple of years ago. the halves is not the traditional barca look. they should go back to their stripes.
