Coventry City celebrates its 125th Anniversary next season and for this special moment in the club's history they are running a Coventry city home 08/09 Puma shirt vote.
Normally they would have consulted their supporters before this stage and put the choice of a kit to a public vote but for a number of reasons this was not possible this year.
The main problem was due the fact that the takeover did not occur until late last year, by which time kit designers are well underway for the following season and the club had to make a quick decision and selected what they believed was the best kit presented by Puma. As you can see, the kit is a classic blue and white striped one which, over the years, has proved extremely popular with supporters and been worn during some of the Club's biggest successes, such as the 1987 FA Cup victory.

Coventry is also going to launch a brand new 08/09 away kit although supporters have to wait until the official kit launch day on saturday July 12 th to see what the ki looks like. Rumours are there is also going to be a special edition brown 3rd kit out around Christmas this year, for a return of the famous "Brown Coventry".
In recognition of this landmark campaign the Club is introducing a special celebratory crest for the 2008/09 season.
The idea of a new crest was widely discussed at a meeting with the Coventry City Supporters' Consultative Group (SCG) and was also given the thumbs up at the Former Players' Association monthly meeting. When adopted, CCFC stresses that the crest will be unique and for ONE season only. he Sky Blues will follow the likes of Tottenham, Sheffield United and Burnley in recent years by commemorating 125 years of the Club's existence in this way.
It will be one of a number of special promotions set to run from next season. And it's up to you which design will feature on next season's new PUMA home kit. As a result a number of designs have been put forward and the Club has selected the final three, and design #C is the big winner.
