New South Africa 08/09 Adidas Home kit

The new Bafana Bafana jersey from sportswear giant adidas was launched on Thursday at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

Members of the Bafana Bafana squad, in town for the Nelson Mandela Challenge match against the United States on Saturday, were on hand to parade the jersey, which will be worn at the African Nations Cup finals in Ghana next year.

Safa CEO Raymond Hack heaped praise on adidas and the technology used to create the kit.

“We applaud the apparel company for investing huge resources in producing a technologically advanced jersey for Bafana Bafana,” Hack said.
“Our team will enter the field of play in style against the United States of America in this event and we thank the leading football brand for supporting our preparation as we build towards the 2010 Fifa World Cup in South Africa.

“We have no doubt our players will obtain a positive advantage by utilising a new technologically advanced jersey.”

Mzi Mbane, the category manager of football at adidas, said: “Football is not only a game of two halves, but one of multi-directional movement as players sprint, stretch, slide, jump and tackle to gain possession.

“Our moisture-management fabrics ensure players stay cool, dry and comfortable, thereby enhancing performance.”

Why is the Protea on the Right hand side while the Springboks are forced to place the Protea on the left hand side?

would love to know the manufacturing costs /or are they made in China? ,The technology is all the same add a few frills here and there ,i manufacture football kits locally and have a number of first division teams that are kitted out head to toe for R160,75 in there colour and design ,Adidas the leading in football ? \'good conversation topic \' but not realalistic , its now cheaper to make local with all the frills ,Keep Kicking it about
