Over 1,000 votes were cast and kit B was the easy winner of the three choices that were designed by sportswear manufacturer Puma.

Supporters had the chance to vote via the club's official website, for their preferred choice before the December 30th deadline.

Kit B secured over 50% of the votes as fans chose the Sky Blue shirt featuring blue side panels and a navy trim around the neck and navy shorts to be worn at the Ricoh Arena throughout the 2009/10 campaign.

Nathan Kosky, commercial director for Coventry City, said the strip would now go through to the final design phase.

"We will now iron out the pre-production details and playing squad requirements before the kit is made and delivered to the Ricoh Arena in time for the new season," he said.

"We were delighted with the response to the kit vote because it is important to us that we involve our supporters in as many of the key decisions at the club as possible.

"The design is extremely striking and I'm sure it will prove to be extremely popular.

"We would like to thank everyone who participated in the kit vote and we look forward to seeing the players wear the latest Sky Blues strip in August."

There are also only 200 chocolate brown shirts remaining in sizes small, medium and XX large which have been produced to commemorate the club's 125th anniversary season.

The strip will be worn by the team in the final home game of the season against Watford on Saturday, April 25.

At least it\'s not stripes. I hate stripes! I wish we could have a collar though, rather than just a V.

It will be interesting to see if the actual kit lives up to the design, but I have to say the design looks very good indeed.

    Just One Question:
The rules of FIFA, UEFA and The FA clearly state that only one manufacturer\'s logo, up to a specified maximum size, is permitted on a shirt. So why do Puma always get away with putting extra logos on the shoulders? Does anyone know?

not the one i voted for, however it was my initial reaction to vot for this bea=cause of the matching shorts. much prefer the puma template with the kind of chevron on the chest.
