Middlesbrough unveiled the new adidas 09/10 home strip Boro will wear as they look to bounce back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

Modelled by star defender David Wheater, the 2009-10 strip features a white sash on both sides of a red shirt plus the famous adidas stripes down both shoulders.

It will be the first time for a decade that Boro have worn white shorts, while white socks make a comeback for the first time since the unforgettable 1995-96 season when Juninho made his first appearance at the new Riverside Stadium.

The team also wore white socks when Boro last carried adidas branding back in 1982-83.

Shirts will be available in a choice of short-sleeved and long-sleeved for the first time in many years.

Boro are confident the kit's design, feel and technology will prove a big hit with fans.

The shirts feature adidas Climacool fabric, an integrated system of technologies to regulate the wearer's body temperature, take sweat away from the body and allow air to circulate close to the skin.

Terry Boland, Boro's Head of Retail, said: "We are sure fans will be delighted not only with the design that adidas have produced but by the outstanding quality of the kit too."

The new kit will be available exclusively to Season Card holders from Wednesday July 1 - but pre-orders can be made by all supporters from tomorrow (June 19) in both MFC Official stores and on-line.
Supporters who pre-order from either club store will be able to take advantage of a priority collection service at both outlets.

Pre-orders made in-store by Season Card holders will be available for collection from the store in which the order was placed on July 1. All other pre-orders will be available on July 3.

Online pre-orders from Season Card holders will be delivered by post on July 1. General sale on-line pre-orders will be delivered on July 3.

The kit will be launched at both MFC Official club stores at 9.30am on July 1, with general sale from 9.30am on Friday July 3. 2008-09 Season Cards must be produced at the point of purchase on July 1 and 2.

Store opening times are 9.30am to 7pm.

Shirt prices are as follows: Adults (XS-XXL) £40 short-sleeved, £45 long-sleeved. Youths (8-10 yrs & 11-12 yrs) £35 short-sleeved, £38 long-sleeved.

Shorts for adults are £20, youths £15. Socks are £9 adults and £8 children.

The new-look, all-black goalkeeper's kit, modelled here by Brad Jones, is launched on July 1 and is also available for pre-order.

Bolton play some of the best stuff in the Premier League this season in my opinion. I've been impressed by Taylor, Cahill, Davies, Jussi, and alot of other who have been played great aswell. Also how well Basham has come along, I seen him play for Rochdale last year and his game has vastly improved.

Stoke have been a breath of fresh air to the Premier League. There's nothing wrong with the long ball, it's modern football. They work all of there set-pieces very well, and dont depend on one or two players like alot of the other teams in the Premier League. There also not afraid to get stuck in, which is a problem in football these days.

Don't worry JB we're in the same boat. We could be playing amazingly creative football and people would still be banging on about long balls.

"banging on about long balls" I think I unintentionally made an innuendo there.

Great analysis CR, I know there's nothing wrong with the long ball, it's just that because od MotD noone sees that we can actually play some football. You don't beat Arsenal, Villa, Spurs, Man City etc just by using your muscle. I think the thing we do best that is unrecognised is actually play as a team and not as a few individuals as you rightly say

As much as I love the attention and it motivates us more it does piss me off how blind people are because of the media. Bolton played some nice stuff on the opening day and at the Brit but unless that's where your goals come from people don't care.

When we beat Arsenal we played some really nice stuff, nicer than you see tippy tappy WBA play but we get no credit because the goals came from throws :

Long ball merchants? Yet when Chelsea do the exact same thing it's called direct football :

After this season I'-) steer clear of yellow for Stoke, or at least have a darker blue, classy though and good effort. Just wouldn't have a yellow kit myself.

Stoke never have third kits though unless our away kit is white
