A number of patients from The Children's Hospital also took part in the unveiling, marking an important stage in the club's partnership with the local hospital.
Designed by new teamwear partners, PUMA, the home kit has the classic blue and white stripes with a 'V' neck while the away kit is also very eye-catching, consisting of a yellow shirt with blue shorts and socks.
The computer-generated images of the kit, which have already appeared through club's website, proved popular with fans and the children certainly seemed to be impressed with the kits as they were revealed today.
Sheffield Wednesday manager, Brian Laws, said: "Having a strong bond between the club and hospital is really important to us and we were delighted to be able to welcome the kids down to the training ground for our kit launch. It was a rare opportunity for the children and they loved seeing the new kits as well as watching the players train."
