A group of patients from The Children's Hospital, Sheffield helped unveil Sheffield Wednesday's new PUMA kits in an exclusive preview at Middlewood Road today.

Owls stars Tommy Spurr and Mark Beevers modelled the new home and away strips, which have The Children's Hospital Charity's logo emblazoned on the front of the shirts.

A number of patients from The Children's Hospital also took part in the unveiling, marking an important stage in the club's partnership with the local hospital.

Designed by new teamwear partners, PUMA, the home kit has the classic blue and white stripes with a 'V' neck while the away kit is also very eye-catching, consisting of a yellow shirt with blue shorts and socks.

The computer-generated images of the kit, which have already appeared through club's website, proved popular with fans and the children certainly seemed to be impressed with the kits as they were revealed today.

Sheffield Wednesday manager, Brian Laws, said: "Having a strong bond between the club and hospital is really important to us and we were delighted to be able to welcome the kids down to the training ground for our kit launch. It was a rare opportunity for the children and they loved seeing the new kits as well as watching the players train."

Im not so keen on the sponsor, no offense cause its a children\'s hospital and all but I suppose charitable sponsors are all the range these days. :P

Very nice design, very adidas too which I like a lot. only think I would do different would be to have had changed the small logo at the back of the shirt to the national crest perhaps.

Nice simple design, espec. the away kit.

But why have home/away socks with different template but same block colour?
Would have looked better with either the home socks inverted or black/with white accent..... IMO of course!

Its a known fact that Puma do different designs for top tier teams and the second tier riff raff that is the likes of Brizzle City and Sheff Wood. Spurs kit will be the awful V design thingies Puma have had for the St Petersberg kit
