This is the new AEK Athens 10/11 home football shirt made by Puma.
The colours of yellow and black were adopted from AEK's connections with Constantinople and the Byzantine Empire.

AEK have always worn predominantly yellow shirts (striped or plain), black shorts, and yellow or black socks.
The only exception has been in the unusual, but notable, Kappa kits of the 1990s (which featured a double-headed eagle across the kit), or in recent years, mainly in European competitions, when the club has worn an all-yellow kit.
