Here are the new Sampdoria kits for the 2010/11 Serie A season produced by Kappa.
The team name comes from a merger of clubs in 1946 and this merger is also the reasoning behind the teams unusual chest stripe of blue-white-red-black.

Sampdoria kits are very traditional and have barely changed at all in their history. These new kits are not much different, but the clues are all in the detailing, the new home now features a white v-neck collar as well as matching white cuffs, something that is brand new for the Genoa based side. Another change in the kit from the previous season is the positioning of the Kappa logo which has been moved up to the shoulder.
The away strip is a definite change from the norm and sees the chest band go from a horizontal position to a diagonal sash. As well as this the St. George's cross, which is the flag of the city of Genoa, has also been moved from its usual central position to the right side of the chest.
The third strip is more classic like the home shirt and is a dark blue colour in pretty much the same style as the home shirt. As well as this the club also released it's new goalkeeper kit which is pretty much a green coloured version of the home.
All shirts will be sponsored by ERG Mobile for Italian Serie A games, where as the sponsor is likely to differ for European competitions. Another different to the European version of the kits is the Kappa logos on the sleeves, in Serie A they will will be relatively small, they will be changed for much larger versions in Europe.
