Borussia Dortmund 2011/12 Champions League Shirt

This is the new Borussia Dortmund home shirt for the 2011/2012 UEFA Champions League tournament manufactuered by Kappa.

Kappa have released the new shirt to tie in with the German's club return to the competition after a nine year absence from the group stage of the tournament.

The shirt has been slowly revealed on the official website all week along with a Champions League montage of images disapearing to finally reveal the shirt.

The main difference between this version and the regular Bundesliga kit is the removal or the small squares which are replace by an asymmetrical line pattern.

    Kit is quite nice, but fairly pointless- it's not different enough to really make me sit up and take notice and also will possibly only get worn for a few matches (I can't see the team going all the way this time). Seems to just be a way to make money out of fans.

    Like somebody above said, they could have harked back to the club's triumph in the competition to get some inspiration for this kit, such as by using the fluorescent yellow colour- this kit is okay, just not special or remarkable in any way.

    It'd be cool if they had gone with the fluorescent yellow they had back when they won the Champions League.
