Time for part 2 of the RPL round-up, this part includes the teams who finished in the bottom half of last season's table and also the newly promoted teams.
FC Rostov (Ростов) - Puma

Rostov are another constant mid-table side in Russia and even the occasional season in the 2nd tier, but they always seem to have the bouncebackability and are never down for long. For quite some years Rostov have used all blue in their home games but it seems this season they have opted to use their usually second choice of yellow instead. Blue has been kept to be used for the away kit.
Anzhi Makhachkala (Анжи) - Adidas
This little known side have received quite a lot of press as of late for their signing of the second most capped player in Brazilian football, former Real Madrid left-back, Roberto Carlos. The side from Dagestan will compete in their second season at the top flight but now with a billionaire owner will hope to be pushing higher up the league table. So far at home they've played in an all-white adidas strip including the stripes being whited out. While in a recent game in St. Petersburg they wore yellow and dark blue.
Terek Grozny (Терек) - Adidas
The Chechens managed by Dutch legend Ruud Guillit have had quite a rocky existence due to conflicts in the region, but after a few years consigned to playing all their games outside the city of Grozny they are now free again to play at their home stadium. The biggest moment in the clubs history came in 2004 when they captured the Russian Cup while still playing in the 2nd division, although they were promoted that year too. Terek took to the field in their first game wearing green Puma shirts but since then they have played in adidas kits which will be used for the rest of the season.
Krylia Sovetov Samara (Крылья Советов) - Umbro
Another club with a shaky history although more for financial reasons than anything else. Although pretty constant at the top table of Russian football in 2009 the club was nearly disbanded and put into liquidation, although the club finally managed to stump up the money and pay for a license, a transfer ban was imposed on them until they paid back all owed debts. Samara play in a light blue kit at home but they are a team which seems to switch the home colour between white and blue every odd season. There are no pictures of the away kit as it has neither been presented or used in a match at the time of publishing.
Amkar Perm (Амкар) - Puma
Just avoiding the drop by goal difference in 2010 Amkar will certainly be looking to improve on that finish. Amkar are also one of the youngest teams in the league, only being founded in 1994 and turning professional the year after. Fulham fans will recognise their name as they met in the Europa League qualifying stage last year because of Amkar's best ever league finish, 4th. At home they wear red and black hoops, something new for the club who formerly wore stripes. Their away kit uses Puma's V-Konstrukt template in which with red shoulders and a black 'V'.

Kuban Krasnodar (Кубань) - Nike
Champions of the first division last season, Kuban are back at the top after being relegated in 2009. Kuban are something of a yo-yo club, constantly bouncing between 3 different divisions in the 20 year existence of the Russian Premier League. A sad record but Kuban have never spent more than 1 season in the Russian top division. Kuban wear yellow for their home kit and green away unfortunately just in Nike teamwear.
Volga Nizhny Novgorod (Волга) - Puma
Volga only came into existence just over 10 years ago and have wasted little time in getting to the top. Coming from Russia's 4th largest city they are sure to develop a large following if they can retain their league status. Volga play with blue and white stripes at home and red and blue away, they also have a white third kit. One of the surprising things about their kit is how Puma have given up their logo on the front of the shirt in favour of the Nizhny Novgorod coat of arms.
FC Krasnodar (ФК Краснодар) - Kappa
FC Krasnodar can find themselves lucky to be playing in the RPL this year. Last season they finished 5th in the 1st Division but thanks to Saturn Moscow disbanding that opened up another space in the top flight, then 2 more bits of luck span their way when FC Nizhny Novgorod (not to be confused with Volga) and KAMAZ Naberezhnye Chelny both passed on the option. Krasnodar have probably my favourite kits in the league, well the home anyway, but then again their isn't a great deal to pick from. The home kit is green with black sleeves and shoulders while the away is white with a green collar much in the same style as Fulham's home kit.
