Club Atlético de Madrid and Nike unveiled the new 12/13 home and away kits, which are available here.
Like last year, the collection will have three lines (Team, Training and Casual), offering a complete wardrobe that will be worn by the first team members and coaches of Atletico, they will also be aviable to all the fans who want them.
Once again, the club and Nike return to the origins of the Madrid club’s first kit with this basic design of red and whites stripes, complemented with classic blue shorts.

Enrique Cerezo (president) said that "the shirt is the main element of a team and identifys the main point of contact with our fans. The shirt is our history, our values are in the shirt, the shirt signifies the players that have worn it in the past, and the titles that have been achieved wearing it. Each year, the new kit marks the beginning of the new season and opens the door to the hopes for the campaign which is just around the corner.”
"Last season we wore our shirt in the final in Bucharest, and we are lucky enough to have the chance to do it again in European competition in Monaco, facing a Chelsea, which will add even more value to our players wearing the club colours." he said.
The Atletico leader emphasized the great bond between Atletico Madrid and sportswear firm Nike: "We are very proud of our relationship with NIKE. The company opted for us at a difficult time, and year after year has been with us on a long journey that has led us to achieve many successes, we can say that the history of Nike and Atletico Madrid is A SUCCESS STORY."
"I want to thank Nike, the effort again in the making, planning, and developing many aspects that have influenced the design of the new kits and also this new commercial space in which we are today, which was designed as a unique place for all football fans in general and Atletico in particular," he concluded.
Meanwhile, Albert Baronet (Director of Sports Marketing for Nike) said in his speech that "it is a pleasure for me and for Nike to be here another year. These moments are always special. I would like to emphasize that Atletico Madrid is the team that has brought us to the top of Europe in recent years with its three European titles (2 and 1 UEFA Super Cup) and I hope to continue achieving great success."
