Bristol City Football Club has unveiled its new Adidas away kit for the 2012/13 npower Championship season, featuring the club's new Principal Partners Blackthorn.
The new deal sees the Westcountry cider maker become the club's first ever Principal Partner. The Blackthorn brand has been a prominent on the back of Bristol city's shirts since 2005, but it will now return to the front of the City shirt for the first time since the 1994/95 season.

Bristol City CEO, Guy Price said: "I am delighted that Blackthorn will be Bristol City's new Principal Partners for the 2012/13 season. This is a major new sponsorship deal that means a lot to the club and its supporters. Cider is a big part of life here in the West and we're delighted that our long-standing partnership with Blackthorn is set to continue in this way.
"Both Bristol City and Blackthorn have incredibly strong roots within our region and are among two of the biggest names in the West. This partnership brings two great Westcountry traditions together. We have got exciting plans for this new season, so I fully except this partnership to flourish and grow".
"I would particularly like to thank Blackthorn for donating the front of our junior shirts to the Bristol City Community Trust. The Trust was only set up as the community arm of the club last year, but it is already going from strength-to-strength because of the support of businesses like Blackthorn. This added visibility for the Trust will continue to promote the hugely valuable work of the charity and Bristol City's growing role within the local community."
Blackthorn Head of Brand Marketing, Kirsty Hunter said: "We are delighted to be principal partner with Bristol City Football Club this year and look forward to working with them and the Bristol City Community Trust. As a true Westcountry cider brand we are pleased to be uniting Bristol City and Blackthorn roots once again and believe the partnership will be a success for the coming season."
The new away kit, which goes on sale on Wednesday 7th June, sees the reintroduction of Bristol City's traditional white and black away strip.
The new kits will feature Adidas Formotion™ which has been engineered to maximise freedom and is designed to optimise comfort. The new kits also have a sculpted hem and leg openings to accommodate specific football movement, providing ultimate performance.
The new away shirts will retail at £45 for adults and £35 of juniors. However, those who renew or purchase a season ticket for the 2012/13 npower Championship season will also receive a further £10 off the price of their shirt, as part of the value-laden season ticket package.
The new away kit will be available to purchase from the club Megastore which is open from 8am-5pm on Thursday 7th June and online.
