The Columbus Crew unveiled brand new football shirts for the 2012 Major League Soccer season. In its 17th MLS campaign, the club will wear a new version of its traditional all yellow home jersey and a primarily white away jersey with black and yellow accents.
The move to white is a nod to the club’s early years, marking the first time since 1999 that white has been significantly incorporated into a jersey design. The retro look will remind longtime fans of the Crew’s three consecutive trips to the Eastern Conference Finals from 1997-99.
Meanwhile, the all yellow primary, or home jersey, has a familiar look, but with the notable addition of a collar.
