Birmingham City have unveiled their new 2013-14 home kit made by Diadora.
The boys in blue will be wearing a modern version of the classic 1970s penguin kit. The original ‘penguin’ was a simple design with the royal blue shirt emblazoned with a broad white stripe down the centre. It was first introduced for the 1971/72 season and was retained in its original style for four more seasons.

The first season the kit was used was a successful one, with Blues clinching promotion to the old First Division courtesy of Bob Latchford’s winner away at Leyton Orient. Blues legends that pulled on this shirt included the famous attacking trio of Trevor Francis, Bob Hatton and Bob Latchford, along with the likes of Howard Kendall, Kenny Burns, Garry Pendrey, Joe Gallagher and Malcolm Page.
