Club América are Mexican champions, based in Mexico City and the shirt is in the club’s traditional yellow and features a deep chevron graphic with a faded blue dot pattern, finished with red trim taken directly from the 1980s kit. The shirt also has a yellow crossover V-neck and blue trim on the cuffs of the sleeves.
The inside of the neck features a blue bonded woven label featuring a large "A" with the profile of an eagle embedded in the top, representing one of the club’s nicknames — Aguilas (Eagles).
The accompanying shorts are yellow with a thin blue stripe along the sides and the socks are yellow with a narrow blue band at the top and the club’s initials on the front.
The home and away kit are made from recycled polyester, reflecting Nike’s commitment to producing athletic wear with a lower environmental impact. The shirt and shorts of each kit are made from up to 13 recycled plastic water bottles.
The kit fabric weighs just 145 grams - which is 23 percent lighter than previous Nike kits - it includes Dri-FIT technology, improved ventilation zones and mesh across the entire back of the shirt.
As the result of 3D body scanning of some of the world’s leading footballers the kit is tailored to the contours of players' bodies, with bonded T-bars at the junctions of the shirts to support the seams.
