The new kit will be used during the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, where Morocco will play against South Africa, Angola and Cape Verde in group A.

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) decided to change kit supplier in 2012. The German brand Adidas replaced Puma whose contract was expired. According to the Moroccan daily Le Matin, Adidas ensure the FRMF an income of up to 650,000 euros per year, rewards and bonuses excluded. Puma paid around 300,000 euros.
