The New York Red Bulls unveiled their new 2013 home football shirt on Monday night at a special event held at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan.

New York maintain the clean look of their white primary kit from 2012 with a few changes. This year, the RBNY primary jersey has a distinct red collar and a red cut on the sleeves, along with a dash of red on the torso framing the club logo.

"It's all about the new lightweight fabric that we've been working on as a company," said Mike Walker, product manager at adidas. "We took out the stitching around the hems so it's really lightweight and it's bonded."

The club keeps its main logo featured on the front and the words "Red Bulls" embossed on the neck collar and in large font on the lower back.

The Red Bulls will keep the same secondary kits used last season.

"The great thing working with Red Bull is that they're a global brand as well," Walker said. "And we made sure that the five Red Bull teams kind of look alike as much as we can within the different leagues."

Not too sure Barca would go for that... the are very precious about NOT using white on ANY of their kits.. for obvious reasons... Back in the 90's there was a Barca Kappa kit which had to be changed as it featured too much white on the sleeves!.. its a shame tho.. I really like the design! 9 from me!
