This is the new Australia home football shirt and kit, by Nike, to be worn in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The Socceroos will wear their traditional yellow/gold and green, with this kit honouring the 1974 team - the first Australian side to appear at a World Cup finals, in West Germany.
With the green "Johnny collar" and the Australian coat of arms crest housed within a new shield in the style of the version worn on the 1974 tournament's shirt, the shirt nods to that iconic and historically significant design. This is combined with green shorts and white socks.

Inside the back of the neck are the words “We Socceroos can do the impossible”, quoting Peter Wilson, the 1974 team's captain.
Technology of the player versions includes Nike Dri-FIT, “burnout” mesh and laser-cut ventilation holes, all designed to regulate body temperature and enhance player comfort and performance, and the whole kit includes material from recycled plastic bottles.
