FC Bayern München (Bayern Munich), German Bundesliga and Fifa World Champions, have revealed their new adidas Home football shirt and kit, to be worn in the 2014-15 season.
To be debuted in the final match of the season, against Stuttgart, the shirt nods to versions worn in the 90s, with blue and red bold stripes, with white roundneck collar, cuffs adidas stripes, logo and the Telekom sponsor logo. The shirt also has the Bavarian motto "Mia san Mia" (we are who we are) on the upper back and players' versions will have the World Champions shield patch on the middle front.
The style of the shirt has inevitably drawn comparisions with that of current manager Pep Guardiola's previous club, FC Barcelona, but the colour scheme is in keeping with the colours of the Bayern crest. With this in mind, the shorts are red with white stripes and the socks white with blue and red.
