England World Cup 2014 Nike Home Football Shirt

This is the new England Home football shirt and kit, by Nike, to be worn in the 2014 World Cup Finals in Brazil this coming summer.

The shirt is in white with a pin-stripe effect and shiny satin strips on each shoulder, also featuring an original cut-off overlapping V-neck collar and a crest with a satin sheen which brightens under UV light.

The shorts are in white - an occasional England tradition - also carry the satin strips along the side and are slimmer cut than previous versions.  The socks complete the all-white look.

The desired effect is to recall the famous England team - iconically in all white - who carried high hopes at Mexico 70, eventually being knocked out, after seemingly cruising, against West Germany.  There is also a reference to English knights and Saint George's armour in the glossy elements, though this may be construed as a controversial nod to the Crusades, in the context of England looking to conquer the world in a challenge abroad.

Like most Nike releases, the kit features DRI-fit technology, laser-cut ventilation and wicking properties to keep the players cool, dry and comfortable, and the kit is largely made from polyester from recycled plastic bottles.

England star player Wayne Rooney, on sampling both the Home kit and the Away, commented: "I'm always proud to put on the England kit and with these ones it'll be no different."

Not bad,but why no red names and numbers? Is tradition gone forever?

Well, you can't do much with an England kit. Still, the 2012 kit was superb, but then again that one was from Umbro...

Very interesting ideas and mix of colours, especially with this template (Bayern Home, Chelsea Away white/navy, which really looks like a rugby shirt, classy) + Milan Away,... Tottenham is way better without yellow panels.

I notice that we use the same templates and also sometimes the same ideas (I designed EXACTLY the same Real Madrid Home with a little bit of grey, but you published yours before...). Good job !
