Ajax 2018/19 Adidas Home Kit

Ajax 2018/19 Adidas Home Kit

This Ajax 18/19 home shirt by Adidas pays tribute to the Dutch masters who dominated international football in the late '80s.

It's made from moisture-wicking fabric for dry comfort. Amsterdam's historic "XXX" symbol sits below the back collar.

Dominated football in the 80's? Hahaha. Do your homework. PSV won 6 national championships in 7 seasons, three national cups and the European Cup. So much for journalism.

Badge would look better with the colours inverted, ie a white circle with red lettering.

This is the exact home kit as they had in 2012/2013, only a little detail on the sleeve is different. Would be a joke if this is the real kit to be honest. Leaving Adidas would be good for Ajax.

Aside from subtle changes, what can you really do to an Ajax shirt in order to keep it fresh every year? Looks identical to an older Ajax shirt I have from either last season or the one before, but what can you really do?

@Jurriaan That’s exactly what I was thinking! Still like it though.

When clubs release a new home kit every year, there is bound to be a sameness at some point. I actually think Ajax should switch from Adidas to another brand because Ajax's home shirt has never readily leant itself to Adidas's 3 stripes layouts anyway. The only place where it works to have 3 stripes is as a thin band across the sleeves, and Adidas haven't used that idea on their kits since the mid-90s.

Think it's about time Ajax moved away from Adidas. Respect that they keep the kit traditional, but they are all beginning to look the same every year. Getting a new kit provider is the only way to keep things fresh.
