After restoring the traditional tone of claret to the new home strip and fulfilling demand for a retro white look for the away jersey, They've now maximised their link-up with a fashion house to bring fans a vibrant new look.

With electric claret stripes adorning the front of the shirt alongside a predominantly navy blue design, it's an exciting new offering for supporters.

They've incorporated the same sense of heritage seen in the home and away shirts, too. William McGregor's silhouette features on the rear of the collar, while the 12 stripes representing the founders of the Football League remain present.

The highly-popular rubberised crest also continues to take pride of place.

One of the best kits this year - what’s everyone on about on here???

It's a bit like when Norwich had a yellow, green and black-hooped third shirt a few years back. A complete and utter waste of everyone's time.

Why would you want a claret and blue 3rd kit when your 1st kit is claret and blue ?

Luke 1977 as a kit designer is poor. The home kit is s dreadful waste of time, you're going to have to be serious Villa fan to buy it because in my opinion you're paying for mediocrity. This 3rd kit is unusual but nothing special at all.

@Gaz A pointless, very similar kit to the home strip...a money making venture.

@Fart-knocker Unfortunately replica shirts are predominately designed to generate revenue rather than offer an alternative when a colour clash occurs. So from a financial perspective if people like the design and buy it, it most certainly wont be a "complete and utter waste of everyone's time".

I'm trying to think of any teams whose strips would clash with Villa's home kit, but not with this 3rd kit.
    Can't think of any.

@Paul Kit manufacturers are doing this all the time now, making 3rd kits that offer little-or-no contrast to the home or away kit. I remember the first year Warrior made Liverpool's kit. All 3 kits had a dark base colour (red, black and purple respectively) so when we played Hearts in the Europa League, Hearts had to wear their white away kit in both legs. I think kit designers get carried away with their "thinking outside the box" and lose track of the importance of a good contrast between kits. This Villa kit almost falls into that trap even though it looks quite nice. The sponsor (like all betting sponsors) spoils it.

I really like the design and colours. However the s*u*i* sponsor totally ruins it.

@Brian You're a f**king idiot mate. You have some of the nicest kits in the league. Either get your eyes checked or stfu. You could have Brentford's away kit...

I really like it but can't see the point of it
