Sunderland 2018-19 Adidas Home kit

Sunderland 2018-19 Adidas Home kit

Sunderland AFC’s new Adidas home kit for the 18/19 have been unveiled.

The new home shirt sees a return to broader stripes, and features a round neck, which is favoured by players and supporters. The logo of Betdaq, the club’s new principal partner, sits prominently on the front of the shirt, along with logo of technical partner, adidas and the club crest.

The shirt is complemented by interchangeable shorts, in both red and black, giving options for when kit clashes occur. The kit also features red socks with a red and white turnover cuff.

Both the shirt and shorts feature ventilated adidas climacool® technology to keep wearers dry and cool.

Was hoping very much for a striped back.....but its not to be :(
The front reminds me 0f 2010/11 umbro shirt with its jagged edge stripes...which I like:)

Very nice. But a slight tangent - if you're Real Madrid paying Adidas however much in your kit deal, you're probably not going to be happy that you've got the same template for your home shirt as a League One club!

@Willie It's not 'lazyness' it's new FA rules which means 'contrasting colour' striped kits need a plain back.

Looks good from the front, but I'll reserve judgement until I've seen whether the back is striped or a lazy plain red or white.

Looks nicer up close than from afar. Still, a fairly good shirt.

Love both of the shirts, but I’m not buying the interchangeable shorts story. From everything I’ve read, the home shirts are/were red - so I’m guessing they recognized the backlash they would get from the fans. It looks SO much better with the away shorts and socks.
