Football Shirt Culture

Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles - of the Netherlands second tier Eerste Divisie - have unveiled a special retro shirt as part of their delayed centenary celebrations for their De Adelaarshorst ground.

The shirt in simple red and yellow with a neat neck - and the only contrast detailing being the black crest and black collar buttons - is produced by Hummel rather than contracted technical partner Stanno and will be worn on the 2nd May match against Helmond Sport.

Based on the first kit the Deventer club wore at their now 101-year-old base, the full outfit will be completed with white shorts and black socks.
