Huddersfield Town 15/16 Puma Third Kit

Huddersfield Town's new 2015/16 Third Kit will be worn for the first time by the team at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

The shirts, manufactured by Puma and sponsored by Covonia, Northern Commercials and Stafflex, have already proven popular with Town fans; over 20% of the limited edition has already been sold!

The kit is dedicated to the memory of those lost in conflict, including Huddersfield Town's eight players who were lost in war. This includes Larrett Roebuck, who was the first professional footballer in the country to lose his life in World War One.

The Puma kit is made of 100% lightweight performance enhancing polyester with moisture wicking technology. Featuring a closed mesh textured side and yoke panels for added ventilation, the shirt has a tailored collar for increased player comfort. The heat applied Puma cat branding gives a contemporary lightweight look and feel, its bold graphic makes a dramatic and impactful on-pitch statement. The shirt and shorts feature a traditional woven badge crest, with satin stitch applique border and embroidery.

Commercial Director Sean Jarvis commented:

"The kit is a tribute to remember all those who gave their lives to the country in conflict. As a Club who lost the first professional footballer in Larrett Roebuck just over 100 years ago, we felt that the kit was a way to remember both him and all the players we have lost in battle, as well as all of the wider football family who have ever lost individuals to war.

"The kit looks really good and I would like to thank Covonia, Northern Commercials and Stafflex for their support. I'd encourage our fans to order the shirt, as we are expecting this to sell out very quickly."

Judging by the guy presenting the shirt, the club shouldn't be called Huddersfield Town, but Holyfield Town. 8)

Interesting that the sponsors are mentioned before the folks to whom the shirt is supposedly dedicated to!!

Why does a team that plays in white shirts with blue stripes, white shorts and socks feel the need to change into an all white strip to play against a team that plays in old gold and black?

That being said, it is rather nice.
