Bayer 04 Leverkusen and JAKO signed a two-year kit deal with an option for a further twelve months.
Based on an incredibly close partnership, confirmed by Christoph Rohmer, the head of sponsorship at JAKO AG explained: “We are very proud to be able to present a new home shirt for next season in tandem with the announcement of this partnership.
The new home shirt is the first of a range of individual kits and joint projects to be completed by the club and the supplier together,” declared Rohmer. “The kit for the 2016/2017 season has a number of features that express the strong character of the club and establish a direct connection to the history of Bayer 04.” The numbers on the back of the shirt are in exactly the same style as the original club logo and the eleven hoops on the shirt symbolise the Werkself. One part of the players’ leisure ware bears a striking silhouette of Leverkusen – clear identification by the Werkself with their hometown.
