Millwall 16/17 Errea Home Kit

Millwall and Errea have unveiled The Lions' new home kit for the 2016/17 season.

The unique striped design replicates the kit worn by the Millwall side which went a record-breaking 59 home League games without defeat at The Den half a century ago this year. In addition to its striped shirt, the new kit includes all-blue shorts and blue socks with white trim.

Didn't Raleigh demonstrate with the Super-Tuff Burner circa 1985 that adding gold trim does not add a touch of class to the design.

Poor, poor addition to an otherwise 'alright' nod to the past.

stick to blue... the Dundee blue was nice... are we WBA now? Total lack of identity I guess we will have an all white kit again soon... very sad.

Not bad, but spoilt by the gold collar which just looks tacky

So, they obviously have worn red?

Not bad for a kit to wear when your smashing a glass bottle in a rival fans face.

Bit weird though that the bands at the bottom of the sleeves are white in the main photo, but gold in the player photo?!
I assume you can roll them up...maybe white on top and gold on inside.

Good spot. I think the player has turned them up. They may well be gold on the underside.

Personally, I would not have put Millwall in stripes, although acknowledge they wore strips for 3 seasons in the 50s. They also once wore red.
Millwall have never worn red - other than for a couple of fixtures in the East End Cup back in 1888. This was a change kit, not an official colour change.

Furthermore, the club wore stripes between 1890 and 1893, and once again between 1964 and 1967. The 1950s were a decade of standard blue tops & white shorts, with the only alterations made to the socks.

This kit celebrates the 1964 to 1967 period when the club went unbeaten at home for 59 games and secured two back-to-back promotions after a miserable post war period.

In fact, between 1960 and 1975 Millwall only played in blue tops and white shorts for one season. Other than the stripes, the Lions prawled in different versions on white with blue or all-white kits.

I like Errea kits. Are Millwall in the PL yet? Nice top by the way.
