Bournemouth 2017-18 Umbro Home Kit

AFC Bournemouth have unveiled their new Umbro home kit for the 17/18 season.

The traditional red and black striped shirt is the first release of the Cherries’ new five-year partnership with the global sports brand, which will see Eddie Howe’s side wear bespoke Umbro kits and training garments, showcasing standout features and unique design.

The home shirt has running contrasted Umbro diamonds along the sleeves and a stylised AFCB wording sign off featured on the back of neck.

The kit is constructed with great fit and bold styling at the heart of the design. Elongated articulated panels provide freedom of movement, with stylised hem and club specific stitching details completing the look.

The black home shorts are tailored with stretch fabrics for maximum comfort and freedom of movement, featuring contrasted knitted diamonds down the side, to match the sleeves of the jersey.

Double welt socks in black feature a red band adorned with the double diamond to complete a kit that matches the modern-day footballers’ high level of performance on the pitch.

They should have the Umbro motifs along the shoulder down to the sleeve, just like how West Ham has.

Speaking of stripes, Sheff Utd's kit has been out for a month and not made it onto there yet.

Genuinely disappointed in this kit. You'd think Puma made this kit up.

Just what I was looking for in a kit. A classic round collar, stripes front and on the back, none of those number blocks and thank God we've not got those ridiculous buttons and flappy collars. Nice touch with the AFCB logo on the back of the collar. On my shopping list this season.

This is a lot better kit than the previous Bournemouth one that had those ugly logo's stuck all over and was easily the worst kit in the prem last season.
But umbro never fully produce top class kits these days, bur saying that neither do adidas or nike, the sleeve diamonds could be so good it done in a contrast colour rest of shirt and in this case white, as they are almost invisible on this kit.

I was looking forward to seeing this, but it's a bit of a damp squib. Better quality, yes, but there's nothing interesting about the design.

I used to live in Bournemouth before I moved to the States in September. The Cherries have Umbro for five years. Excellent.
