Newcastle United 2017-18 Puma Home Kit

Newcastle United has revealed its new 2017/18 Puma home kit ahead of the club's 125th anniversary season.

Featuring a new commemorative crest to honour the club's milestone year, the kit also features the Magpies' new sponsor - FUN88 - for the very first time.

The Far Eastern gaming company has agreed a three-year deal with the club and will feature on all adult shirts and training wear.

Puma has created a classic version of the club's famous black and white stripes for 2017/18, adding black shorts and black socks with a white turnover - a familiar look to some iconic home strips over the years. The club has also selected red numbers and lettering on the reverse of the shirt for its anniversary campaign, a nod to the style worn by many of the club's greatest ever players and teams over the years.

HANG on. I did not think teams in the premier league were allowed stripes on the rear of the shirt? Supposedly due to referees, media and spectators not being able to tell who's who LOL

Nice shirt but surely the names and numbers on the back should be blue, not red!

@Toony Bournemouth and Sunderland both wore shirts with stripes on the backs last season. West Brom, Crystal Palace and Stoke have also done so in several recent seasons.

They would have to have patches on the shirts for European Competitions, though this hasn't been an issue for any of those sides of late.

@Toony Yes i was wondering that very same thing, this could be a ploy by puma to catch out companies making pirate shirts, then when the real ones come out they will have a plain back

Nice and simple, could have been much better if it didn't look like the sponsor was stuck on as an afterthought. s*i* logo too!
