Ross County Football Club has revealed its new home strip for the 2017/18 season.
The new - and totally unique - Macron kit design was chosen via a supporters’ poll over social media with nearly half of all voters in the poll selecting the winning design from a choice of three prepared by kit sponsor, Macron.
The new strip sticks to the traditional navy blue main colour for the top and shorts but with a tartan design on the front of the strip and a stag’s head motif on the rear of the top in honour of the club’s nickname (The Staggies, which is also inscribed on the rear at the neckline).

The idea to hold a supporters’ poll to choose the strip came out of the regular Supporters Meetings that the club has been holding this season.
“We have been working really hard in the area of fan engagement recently,” said club Chairman, Roy MacGregor. “And having our fans help choose our new home kit for the 2017/18 Ladbrokes Premiership season is the latest initiative. We were overwhelmed by the response to the online poll and everyone at the club is delighted with the winning design which I think reflects our Highland heritage and roots perfectly.”
Andrew Davies, who helped launch the kit, said: “The boys all really love the new kit and can’t wait to wear it next season. It was a great idea to ask the fans for input and I think they have come up with a really good looking kit that we will be proud to wear.”
