Newcastle United 2019-20 Puma Home Kit

Newcastle United 2019-20 Puma Home Kit #NewcastleUnited #footballshirt #nufc

Newcastle United has unveiled its brand new 19/20 home kit by Puma, which pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of the club’s Inter-Cities Fairs Cup win.

Just like the black and white jersey proudly worn by the stars of 1969, the new home shirt will feature a familiar black round-neck collar with white trim, while a tonal crest will adorn the Magpies’ classic black and white stripes.

Below, the club's primary partner, FUN88, will proudly feature across the front of adult shirts.

The kit will again feature black shorts, while traditional black and white turnover socks - as worn by Joe Harvey’s triumphant side - also make a return.

The Magpies marked the 50th anniversary of the successful Fairs Cup campaign just last week, with 11th June 1969 the date of a 3-2 win away in Hungary which gave United a 6-2 aggregate victory over Újpest Dósza in a two-legged final.

Agree about sponsor. Could they sell blank? Maybe get more sales that way. I won't buy - agree with brown ale comments.

'pays tribute to' doesn't mean it has to copy or be a replica. a couple of nods is enough. nice shirt - overlarge sponsors logo though imo.

Nice kit design, but please change the sponsor design (should cut the Chinese alphabet out or change the design and color be more suit to Jersey or make the sponsor-less version for adult ).
    Horrendous sponsorship.

Somehow broad stripes is just not Newcastle United FC. They need to stick to narrower stripes.

I really like the fat stripes, just looks smarter. Badge in the middle, the kit is the nicest I've seen this season. Completely ruined by the sponsor.

Would be a million times better without the Puma logo on the front as it already has it on the sleeves. Sponsors logo is far too much and too low down due to everything else in the middle

Not good enough, I'm afraid. if it ad narrower stripes, and stripes on the sleeves, it could have the makings of a classic. However, this is about as memorable as Frank Pingel.

I guess that, because the geordies are fervent and blindly loyal supporters of their team, Puma can chuck out any old crap in the knowledge that it will sell in droves.

This is proof that sponsorship has taken over, an average shirt which could have upgraded to good if more thought had been given rather than just how much money they can make from the sponsors, but perhaps it’s just typical of present day Newcastle!

Think the positioning of the puma, NUFC crest in a stacked style looks hideous - would of been better either side of the black stripe
