Wigan Athletic 2019-20 Puma Away Kit

Wigan Athletic 2019-20 Puma Away Kit #WiganAthletic #footballshirt #wafc

Wigan Athletic revealed their new 19/20 Away football kit by Puma.

The new away kit features a bespoke hexagonal graphic with inspiration grown from the famous FA Cup winning jersey.

A newly developed tonal crest keeps the two-contrast colour aesthetic of the shirt whilst the hexagons offer depth and texture coming deep from the red.

The shapes in the fabric remind me of a Zionist dictatorship. An impressive outer structure but empty within. Think Nero, Stalin and Saddam without the gold and silver temples. A truly instinctive prelude to a contemporary backlash of styles. The badge looks my tummy button.

Another decent strip ruined by a betting sponsorship. I look forward to the day when clubs realise that this revenue stream is viewed by the majority as an anathema as repulsive as promoting tobacco or crack cocaine. Sorry to focus on Wigan - they are by far not the only ones but shame on you nevertheless.

Poor shirt. Then again it does not matter. They hardly have any fans to buy it anyway.

Both home and away are quite striking. It shouldn't really work but it does. As unpleasant as the sponsor is, it's not likely to lead a generation of hapless youths through the gates of Hades and betting companies are just the next wave of questionable revenue channels. They are nothing but fleeting blots beneath our beloved club crests. At least we have a platform like this to slate or admire the shirts without the pressure of parting with any cash and I, for one, think the Wigan shirts are just dandy.
