This is the newly unveiled Argentinos Juniors Tribute shirt by Umbro, celebrating the Argentine club’s 1985 Copa Libertadores victory.
The famous Buenos Aires side’s conquering of South America 35 years ago came about via a playoff penalty shootout victory over América de Cali of Colombia, after the sides had played out an aggregate draw over two legs.
The white adidas shirt worn by the winners that day had a horizontal shadow striping jacquard, contrast adidas striping in red, a red overlapping “V”-style neck and a “7 Up” sponsorship patch in the crest position, and much of this has been faithfully recreated or nodded to in the double-diamonded retread.

Whilst the adidas striping is naturally replaced with Umbro diamond taping and the neck is a simple deep V - and a contrast Umbro logo chest logo is added - the soft drink branding makes way for a commemorative adapted crest to truly commemorate the glorious achievement and mark its anniversary.
