Doncaster Rovers 2020-21 Third Kit

Doncaster Rovers 2020-21 Third Kit #doncasterrovers #drfc

Rovers have revealed their new special edition third kit for the remainder of the 2020/21 campaign.

The shirt has been designed by club legend James Coppinger alongside Elite Pro Sports.

The shirt is mainly gold with a black and white sash to include Copps’ former club Newcastle United, while the front and back has the number 26 sublimated in to the shirt with a unique twist being that each of the numbers are the styles of font used by the EFL during his 17 years with the club.

The third kit is once again sponsored by mental health charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), an award-winning charity dedicated to preventing the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45, male suicide. CALM have been donated the sponsorship by LNER, the club’s current shirt sponsor.

It's pretty grim. The colour is awful. The black and white sash almost saves it - i assume it's in reference to Darlington, where Coppinger started his career, rather than Newcastle where he only made 1 appearance.

I'm sorry but that's a truely awful shirt.

Fantastic idea for a shirt design ruined by that awful collar.
I know it's trying to appeal to the thug market with the Fred Perry theme but it's just too much : a simple v-neck would've really set the stripe off and allowed it to dominate the kit, rather than it being an afterthought to that massive flapping obscenity.
It's bordering on an old man's nylon polo shirt now ..
