France 2020 Nike Home Kit

France 2020 Nike Home Kit #fff #lesblues #nikefootball

Nike launched the France 2020 Home kit

As in 2018, when Les Bleus emulated the heroes of 1998 by capturing the nation’s second global crown, the federation will play with a red band stretching proudly across the chest of its home kit to signify fraternity.

In addition to the red band, France’s new home jersey takes its lead from the iconic marinière design with blue stripes flowing horizontally over a darker blue base. The pattern is broken by the singular red stripe, which shoots prominently across the chest.

Above the stripe is the FFF crest and a Nike Swoosh, and a squad number sits below. Dark blue shorts and red socks with dark blue trim complete the look.

@piegrim The trouble with putting 3 white stripes below the red is that 3 stripes has obvious connotations with a rival brand.

I actually like this shirt but I wonder how it might have looked if they inverted the shades of blue. I always associated the French kit with more of a royal blue shade but Nike have been making them much darker in recent years.

The FFF crest is a gold cock (much like the head of football shirt design at Nike currently, albeit not gold).

The three stripes below the red should be white.

The shirt should NOT look like a rugby shirt.

The strip should be the tricolor of bleu/blanc/rouge; the spiel mentions the red signifying 'fraternité' but you don't have white to represent 'égalité'.

Aux chiottes with blue shorts putain!

France should NEVER wear blue shorts..WHITE with red socks. It's a classic strip for a reason, leave it alone.

Nice warm-up top. When are they releasing the kit?

Actually quite nice, even if it, again, looks a bit on the "Primark T-shirt-y" side, like too many modern football kits.

Nike really need to get a wiggle on, if all their teams aren't going to be playing in their pants.
They don't seen to have made any shorts yet.

@Bob24 I wonder if the darker blue is to differentiate from the Azzurri, a-la Wimbledon from Chelsea in the 90s
