This is the new Home shirt for the Mexican national team.
Once again, players representing Mexico in 2021-22 will not wear the traditional green as first choice.
The new adidas design nods to patterning seen on 1990s kits worn by the likes of Germany and Mexico City’s Club America, with the suggestion of a traditional, Aztec-style textile print in pink on black. This reddish hue - officially “Real Magenta” - is marketed as referring to the colour of Mexico’s salt production lakes, taxis and prickly pears, and also provides the fill for adidas’s shoulder stripes and cuff trim.

The adidas chest logo is in white and the crest is in a flipped monochrome - apart from the subtle inclusion of the Mexican tricolour flag - while the shorts and socks to complete the kit are in black.
