This is the special edition RC Lens 2020-21 season “Sainte-Barbe” shirt by Macron.
Celebrating the 4th December feast day of the famous Christian martyr Saint Barbara - the patron saint of miners - with her image, and remembering the dead of local historical mine disasters with the “Mineur de Fond” (face miner) detailing and the black colouring - on both the trunk and the “armband” detail on the green left sleeve - the French side’s heavily embellished shirt yet retains a certain subtlety and class via consistent dual-colouring and the button down collar.
The only exception to the colouring rule is the Lens crest appearing in its familiar palette, and this styling extends to the green shorts and socks which will be worn with the shirt in Saturday’s Ligue 1 clash with Montpellier.
