New Balance has revealed Costa Rica’s 2021 Home kit, featuring partially recycled fabric.
Los Ticos are set to wear the shirt in celebration of Costa Rica’s 200-year bicentennial in 2021. Taking inspiration from the country’s diverse wildlife, the design uses shapes derived from morphogenesis and the natural landscape.
A bold animal graphic print flows across the home jersey in the nation’s red and blue tones, with a flattering v-neck collar completing the look.

Developed using innovative NB Dry technology, the front, back and sleeve panels of the jerseys are made from 100% recycled polyester. A jacquard ventilation system helps promote optimum breathability and comfort.
To create the bespoke design, New Balance used partially recycled materials as the canvas for its tribute to Costa Rica’s commitment to their ecosystem. The republic is widely recognised as a world leader in sustainability and environmental protection.
