West Bromwich Albion 2020-21 Puma Home Kit

West Bromwich Albion 2020-21 Puma Home Kit #westbrom #wbafc #WestBromwichAlbion #pumafootball

West Bromwich Albion and Puma revealed a new Home kit which draws inspiration from the famous “barcode” shirt.

Your new Puma stripes for the 2020/21 season pay tribute to one of the Club’s most popular shirts, made famous by the Bob Taylor and Andy Hunt–inspired 1992/93 promotion season.

Puma have been outstanding for the club. They have taken the clubs identity on board and created something custom. Not just templates we got under adidas. 2 years ago they brought back yellow and green with the late 70's style shirts. Instantly went above adidas with the fans. This season we've had a beautiful home and away shirt with a quirky lilac third kit. Looks like their brilliant designs will continue next season. This is my favorite Albion shirt for at least 10 years and that says a lot. Stunning

Think it's a bit Marmite, love it or hate it, for me I like it, it's different, shows the manufacturer trying to create something, rather than these insulting template kits a lot go for. Well done.

@SkyeBaggie I agree . Overall was probably a nicer kit , but you wouldn't want exactly the same . It's a variation not a copy . There's a market for the kit and it's a modern design and will therefore sell .

It's based on the 92-94 "barcode" kit which had a few more narrow lines and for me was a better shirt. But these things are personal and nostalgia isn't what it used to be!

@Strange1 Just had a look on the Arsenal page . Cannot see an opinion on your own teams kit . Lol By the way I am not trying to be funny and sincerely hope you win the FA Cup .Good luck .

@William Can't argue with that, just a difference in opinions. As long as you don't mind me commenting on another teams new shirt?

@Strange1 Oh yes off course blue and white stripes . Really obvious when you think about it . Be honest the design does vary , certainly more than Arsenal .

@Paul Thanks for your comments, Paul.

I don't see any comments on here that are 'having a go' at WBA, just people's opinions on the shirt, exactly as it should be.

Based on what you're saying... as an Arsenal fan I can only comment on the posts about Arsenal? Seems odd and quite frankly a shame that I can't enjoy the rest of the site.

If it makes you any happier, I don't actually mind the shirt. Although (in my opinion and in no way at all a dig at WBA) it's rather like every other WBA shirt (sponsor doesn't help!).

@Strange1 Dean is right . Why come on here just to have ago at other teams , usually your rivals . Have seen loads of comments on here that absolutely nothing to do with football kits , just having a dig at another club . Stick to other social media sites . Am I missing the point as well ? Notice you didn't even bother to make a comment on the kit , just have a dig a someone who clearly made some sensible comments .

@Dean Stick to your own clubs? Think you're missing the point behind this site.

Like everything , it's a matter of personal choice . I like it . At least it's a bit different and certainly shows more thought than Newcastle , although they apparently extended the contract last minute . Some of the other comments on here clearly aren't from Albion fans . So why bother , stick to your own club as your opinion really does not matter . May be wrong , but think most Albion fans would like it . PS 92/93 play-off final at Wembley was an amazing day .

Similar to their early 90s kit. I’d be happy if I were a fan.

£ucking awful mess of a shirt. Just proves that the fans (yes remember them) MUST be consulted first as they’ll be the ones expected to stump up the price of a holiday for these abominations.

I like the traditional Albion broad dark blue stripes, not royal blue as in recent years. White shorts and white socks with two blue rings at the knee..

I actually love this shirt as it brings back so many memories from my childhood and the trip to Wembley in '93. Best mate at the time was a Wolves fan - I had the barcode and he had the good year wolves top with the tyre marks all over it. Bet we looked a right pair 8)

Disappointing. Two seasons ago Puma came up with superb, beautiful 70s throwback Albion shirt that was simple and very classy, but this new one is way too busy and overly fussy.

Local rumour... If you pass the new shirt over a barcode scanner, the display reads "Wolves are crap".

Love it, love it, love it.

I had the original (and still do) and I'll be having this one too.

Always liked the Umbro kits from the 70’s era. Less is more.
