Famous Buenos Aires-based side Argentinos Juniors have revealed their 2021 third (OF.3) shirt.
The Umbro design is marketed under the self-referential “La Cuna del más grande de todos los tiempos” slogan (meaning “The cradle of the greatest of all time”) and nods to the national team shirt worn by Diego Maradona as he delivered the World Cup in 1986.
Honouring Maradona, who began his professional career with “El Bicho” and died in 2020, the design is in the famous sky blue and white stripes worn by Argentina - specifically with a white central stripe, as was the case in that glorious summer in Mexico.

That stripe carries a reference to the aforementioned marketing slogan in its “LA CUNA DE D10S”, alluding to El Diego’s god-like status, while most of the further embellishment is also rendered tonally in light blue.
The club crest, however, sits proudly in full colour on a shirt that may well be combined with black shorts and white socks should it see match action.
