Charlton Athletic and Hummel have unveiled their new third shirt for the 21/22 season, which celebrates the club’s 100th year of League football.
The black and gold strip commemorates the golden anniversary of the Addicks’ election into the Football League in 1921 and features the special inclusion of a simplified version of Charlton’s iconic sword emblem, stitched in gold on the chest.
The sword emblem has not been seen on an Addicks strip in that fashion for 47 years, since it was last in use during the 1973/74 season.

The new black shirts feature gold detailing throughout with hummel’s distinctive chevrons appearing in gold along the sleeves, gold piping on the round collar and gold on the cuffs.
Meanwhile, a contrast tonal bib design on the front chest complements the shirt, while shirt sponsor KW Consulting appears in gold on the front of the shirt, with ITRM featuring in gold on the back.
The black shorts also feature gold detailing, as well as the sword emblem in gold, while charcoal-grey and black socks, complete with gold chevrons and piping complete the strip.
