This is the new, special edition “Shachi no Daisai” shirt for iconic Japanese J1 League side Nagoya Grampus [Eight].
The new design, which is effectively a collaboration between usual manufacturer Mizuno and Japanese fashion house BEAMS, celebrates 2021’s “Dai Nagoya Exhibition” and “Shachihoko Festival”.
Under the strapline “Shachi no Daisai”, the new release is intended to form part of an uplift to the Nagoya and Aichi Prefecture communities, and features a white base with a red and orange, gradated horizontal stripe.

This styling nods to local and traditional “Arimatsu Shibori” tie-dying techniques and the shirt - also carrying a colour-converted crest and indigo trim to further reference local dye origins - will be worn with white shorts and socks in home matches in August and, circumstances allowing, a cup game in September.
