This is the new Portugal Centenary shirt produced by Portugal Store.
The black shirt with white neck trim is a modern approximation of the version worn when the representative side for the now Federação Portuguesa de Futebol - the Portuguese Football Federation - took on Spain in Madrid in 1921.
This was the first ever match for “Equipe das Quinas”, taking place on December 18 that year, and this commemorative release with embroidered crest and gold “1921 - 2021” detail is limited to 500 units - each retailed with a box and special retro football.

Seeming unusual today, the reason for the colour - or lack thereof - is that the shirts were borrowed from the recently established Casa Pia Atlético Clube, who also provided four of the Portugal team on its debut.
