Swansea City and Joma unveiled the club’s new home kit for the 21/22 season.

The kits for the new campaign form part of a commemoration of the 40-year anniversary of the Swans playing in the First Division for the first time in the club’s history in 1981.

As revealed yesterday (Wednesday June 30) Swansea City will sport a new club crest for the duration of the 2021-22 campaign in a nod to that golden period in the club’s history.

The 2021-22 home shirt features the traditional white and black, including a classic stripe design in the material. This shirt has been created from 100% recycled fibres, making it the most sustainable product the club has ever released.

The kit has been designed with a deliberate retro feel, taking cues from some of the designs worn by the likes of Wyndham Evans, Alan Curtis, Robbie James, Jeremy Charles and Nigel Stevenson during the late 1970s and early 1980s.

It was announced last month that two local brands will feature on the shirts, with Swansea University continuing as front of shirt sponsor, whilst Westacres will feature on the back of the shirt for the first time.
